Location: Trunk Bay, British Virgin Islands
On one of the world's most perfect bays, this villa stretches a series of indoor and outdoor spaces along a narrow set of topographic contour lines. The core and shell of the house was designed by architect Neal Deputy. FORMWORK designed all finishes, built ins, furnishings and housewares. Working with a series of white, light gray and very subtle sand tones, our idea was to heighten the experience of the site by cleansing the visual palette of the architecture. The greens of tropical plants, the tan of the pristine fine sand, the intense blues of the water and sky, and the foamy white of the clouds and crashing waves are all on display as leading characters.

Collaborators and craftspeople who contributed to this project are Brent Brydon of Providence Engineering, Brian Marshal of Quality Construction and Pedro Wells of Wells Woodworking, all three of Tortola, British Virgin Islands; from Charlottesville, Virginia, Simin Faghiri of Simin's Custom Sewing.
