12th STREET APARTMENT

Location: Charlottesville, Virginia
This interior renovation of a downtown Charlottesville apartment was meant to open up the public spaces of the apartment to each other. The idea was to open the spaces to each other but maintain their definition with tall, thick openings as thresholds between, each lined and detailed in soap finished ash. Aside from the interior architecture, FORMWORK provided interior design of the furnishings and artwork.
Collaborators and craftspeople involved in this project include Martin Horn Construction, Albemarle Countertops and Charlottesville Woodworks.
